Multi-Engine Training in the Beechcraft Duchess
Earn your multi-engine rating in N3724H — a forgiving, well-equipped BE-76 trainer.
Your multi-engine training is conducted in N3724H, a 1979 Beechcraft Duchess (BE-76). The Duchess is one of the most approachable twins to learn in: its counter-rotating propellers mean there's no critical engine, and its T-tail and docile handling make it an exceptionally controllable platform for mastering single-engine work.
Most pilots complete the multi-engine add-on in 10–15 hours of flight time, typically over one to two weeks of focused training. You must hold at least a Private Pilot certificate to begin; there's no minimum flight-time requirement for the add-on rating.
